Internet Headsets + Phones (READ ONLY ARCHIVE)

I am recording on a hp laptop with vista.  I am using the clear chat pro USB headset and all the time my recordings have a backround noise.  Like I am in a cave or something or some buzzing noise I am not sure how to describe it. 

Does anyone know how to resolve this problem?
