I purchased this product

ClearChat PC Wireless™

approximatly 2-3 months ago, they seemed to be working fine, however the battery life has degraded alot. 

Also i seem to be having an issue when the light on the back turns to red (to indicate low battery) I generally plug in the connector that came with it to give it power. This causes the headset to malfunction The red light on the back will flash wildly, if i turn the headset off with the connector plugged in the light will flash from green to yellow to red very quickly. Also the light on the tip of the microphone that indicates that it is muted will flash at the same rate. 

If i turn the headset back on and push the mute button it will open windows media player.

I am using windows vista.

The only way i can get this fixed is to allow the headset to sit with the wire plugged in for a while and then switch it on and off repeatedly.

Any ideas?
