Internet Headsets + Phones (READ ONLY ARCHIVE)

Hi all,

I bought a ClearChat Pro USB Headset a couple of weeks ago which worked fine when I first plugged it in. However after a week or so it decided it was no longer going to play sounds from games/videos. It takes over the Windows and Internet Explorer sounds but everything else: Games and Meida Players (which was the point of buying the thing) just play through the Speakers. Anybody have any ideas what has to be done, its obviously a software setting somewhere?

I have re-installed it by removing the drivers and letting windows install it again.

I have tried several USB slots to be sure.

Gone through all of the obvious sounds settings such as disaling my speakers and making the Headset the Default device, nothing changes.

Very annoying

Go into Media Player>tools>options>devices>speakers> set them to default. Restart.

However, I now get iTunes through the headphones and everything else through the onboard speakers.  But it's an option.
