Hello.

I am searchin for a stereo-Headset for my Playstation 3 and would prefer theClearChat PC Wireless Headset.

I just do not know. if this will work with the Playstation.

Can anyone give me an answer?

I've used like 3-4 different USB headsets on the ps3, but none that are wireless USB. I know non-wireless USB works as well as bluetooth. Hope this one does too, because i'm going to buy it tomorrow.

The PS3 does have usb drivers in it.The controllers use them to charge.

So if that is the case does this mean that the headset is compatible with the PS3 ?

it WILL work, since the dongle handles all wireless com.  however, its a 2.4 non wifi non bluetooth signal.  it does NOT like being near wifi or bluetooth. if your ps3 is NOT wifi connected, you should be okay, just occasional static from the bt.  if you ARE using wifi, you will have constant audio dropout.

Just to confirm i have bought 1 of these and it works a treat with the ps3.

So much clearer and comfortable than any other headset out there and all you need to do is plug the usb key into the ps3 and select the headset for input and output audio voila

I recently bought ClearChat PC Wireless™ but I can't make it work with PS3.

Badger1977, can you confirm the set up? I set the input and output to the headset but I can't hear the game sound,only mic voice.

Anyone else tried?

Hi Mate

The headset will not play the sound of the game as it goes through your tv or whatever system you have set up. Even the Bluetooth headsets don`t play game sound through them.

I pluged the USB dongle into the PS3 USB port, headst is on, but the PS3 does not recognise the headset.  I cannot see it in the input/output list of devices/connectors...  Anything special to be done to make it work ?

first of all: glad i found this thread. =)

i am also thinking about buying the clear chat headset. but i am wondering, whether it is possible to use the ps3 headset for chatting AND sound.

as far as i read the answers, it could be possible. one of the replies posted said that you could use the headset as audio output...but another one said the opposite.

so, how is it? Does anybody use the clear chat headset for chat and audio output with the ps3?
