Ecxpected battery life span for Clearchat PC Wireless?

Hello, I've purchased the Clearchat PC Wireless today, and currently I am very satisfied with it.

The only concern is that,I was worried that as time goes by, its battery performance will drop.

I know that batteries are not purchaseable and there's a 2year warranty on the headphone.

By warranty do you mean that if the battery life has been reduced greatly, you will make a free exchange of the headphone with a new one?

I spent a lot of money on this headphone, and I don't want to end up using it plugged into the charger or has a 10min battery life later on.

Thank you and have a great day.

Also, does muting the microphone (pressing right headphone cup) increase the battery life?

Re: Ecxpected battery life span for Clearchat PC Wireless?

I am also looking for an answer for the battery life question, and if it is covered under the warrenty.  The battery life on my set has gone down dramatically lately.  I had it plugged up for 24 hours and was able to use it for about 4 hours continuous, when I used to be able to go 8+ hours.  I'll be contacting support and I'll try to update this thread with the response.

Re: Ecxpected battery life span for Clearchat PC Wireless?

Hi all,

Battery life is not greatly impacted by muting the microphone. Most of the power will be consumed by transmission. I have used many of these headsets over the past few months and have NEVER had one last more than 6 hours.

Re: Ecxpected battery life span for Clearchat PC Wireless?

Thanks for the information Mike.  After reading your response I got to wondering about my estimates.  The times that I have noticed extremely reduced usage time I had been using the microphone.  Makes sense too.  I'll keep an eye on it more and see how it goes.

Hopefully you're still watching this thread... Where is the serial number on these units?  It's not printed on the unit itself as far as I can tell, and the Knowledgebase does not cover the headsets.  I see a FCC ID (for the BT radio I assume), the Model number (A-00006) and some IC number (going on memory).

I can't find all the information that is "required" when filling out a support questionnaire.  Thanks!

Hi Peb,

The PID's are on the edge of the dongle and the inside of the right headband near the adjustment band. Black on black! Get a good light and a magnifying glass.
