Hi,
Installs fine on PC, (I think) it appears under Sound Devices menu and I change everything to Logitech USB headset, however when attempting to access the microphone nearly all programs 'hang' and do not respond, only unpluggin the headset will enable windows to catch up with itself. I can run the Voice/Headset check WITHOUT selecting it as the microphone and it will get to the stage of testing the mic, however if I set it as both (headset and microphone) it says that dvpsetup.exe was unable to launch. Works fine on laptop, very well on laptop infact, but was bought to be used on Desktop pc as laptop has integrated mic. Both are running XP Home.
One thing, it does not seem to appear in Device manager under 'Sound, video and game controllers'.
There is one 'unknown device' but I am unsure if that is something else, as right clicking and updating drivers via web finds nothing. There is a 'USB Audio Device' under Sound, Videos and game controllers, unsure if thats it.
Many thanks
Tom Furnival
EDIT: Another thing, when using Windows media player or similar, with the headset set as the default audio device, it wont play, no matter what I press WMP wont play a thing, also tapping tapping or blowing into the microphone gives a sound through the headphones, so it must be a settings problem on the PC

That file is the direct play voice setup for windows. Your system's USB driver or Direct Play drivers are faulty. Update your system and try to replace the corrupted files. Microsoft can help you with this.

CamIAm, I used Device Manager to find the drivers the Logitech USB Headset was using, and replaced them all from my laptop (which works with the headset) and I still have the issues.
Incidently, when first plugging it in it does say 'Logitech USB Headset' then it changes to 'USB Audio Device'
