Strange behavior with Clearchat Wireless headset

I'll start out by saying that, though I absolutely love this headset, this is my second one within three weeks. What causes the wires to break, exactly, in such short a time? It's not the charger or anything, it's the wires for the headphones themselves. It always seems to be the left one. It's a bit confusing, as I don't treat them roughly whatsoever. I've had the second one for a week and two days, and it's already failing with the exact same issue. I can't help but be a little concerned about this, especially as I'm not exactly throwing it around. That having been said, I'd also like to know if this issue is on the Windows side as well. I run Mac OS X, and what seems to happen when the headset either gets out of range or turns off is that the mike becomes useless. I'll elaborate. If I'm walking around, and the headset is out of range for just a short time, the microphone no longer works. If I turn it off for a couple of hours and turn it back on, the microphone does not work, either. I have found somewhat of a fix currently, simply by turning it off again and back on. This just seems to be a bother, though. Would this be fixable? Thanks in advance for helping with both questions. I'm mostly concerned about the first one, as it sounds really peculiar to me that it would break after this kind of usage. Thanks in advance.
