Windows does not auto switch outputs without shutting down application

[ Edited ]

Hi Logitech experts

i just acquired a logitech comfort usb headset that works via USB.

I'm prretty happy with this headset as it sounds great and starts to be truly comfortable as is has formed to the size of my head overtime.

But and this is a small irritating but when you compare this headset to jackplug headsets. It seems impossible to play a song for instance in iTunes (latest version) first via your speakers and then to connect the usb headset. Ofcourse you can connect it, but the sound isn't switched to the headset until i restart iTunes.

Is there any solution known for this issue on a windows xp sp3 system?

thanks in advance Florijn

Re: Windows does not auto switch outputs without shutting down application

Hi,

This is the way Windows has always worked. It cannot switch automatically between your built in sound card that you connect your analog headsets to and the USB headset which is seen as a standalone sound card.

Thank you for your post.
