premium notebook headset earpiece very loose

[ Edited ]

Hi,

This is the second time I have had issues whith my premium notebook headset. The first time, the headset suddenly stopped producing sound. I contacted logitech support and got a replacement. That was a month ago. I got a replacement headset and within one month, I am having problems again. This time, the right earpiece has become exteremely loose and now wont even stay up against my ear, it is constantly falling down. Now I take very good care of my headset, when not in use, the headset is ALWAYS in its case. Why is this headset so crappy that within 1 month of regular, responsible use, the earpiece has become so loose that it wont even stay up against my ear?! Maybe a screw is coming loose or something? I am really upset about this, as this is the second time I have had problems with the headset. Is there anything I can do to fix it myself, tighten a screw that is coming loose, anything? I really do not want to have to contact logitech again to get another replacement. This is making me very angry and causing me to start reconsidering the high opinions I have of logitech products.

Thanks,

coreymon77

Re: premium notebook headset earpiece very loose

As of the time of this post have encountered this problem as well. I have had this headset going a year now, I have used it for VoIP, gaming, music, and much more without any hassle until now. I noticed I couldn't hear anything out of my left ear, i double checked my connections and sound drivers, nothing wrong there. Thats when I notice the left ear piece was down below my ear. I push it back up, to find it fall back down again. I also like the poster above carry mine in its case daily to and from my classes as I use it on a daily basis. I swap it in between my laptop and desktop when i'm on the go or not. The only simple solution I came up with, by sure luck it being the left ear, is to push the mic (making it completely inaccessible) up behind the ear piece itself to sort of hold it into place at the bottom of my ear. I have never had eny problems with Logitech products before, even reccomending this headset to a friend because its very well made.
