Hi, i recently bought diNovo keyboard for notebooks ( great piece of hw ) , but only two things keeping me away to be ultimately happy with it -
1 . how can I switch on/off NUMLOCK on it ? I can`t find it in the manual ( or am I missing it ? ) - so on the NUMLOCK position is an CLEAR button ( i suppose it is mentioned to be used with conjunction with calculator - for quick erasing numbers perhaps ? ) but is there a way to use it as a regular NUMLOCK ?
2. i dont know if the receiver is `weak`, but I have to buy usb cable extender and placed the receiver on visible spot to prevent random freezing - it is common or not ? I suppose to be in line of sight only older IR receivers, not nowadays RF ones :-/

Hi,
1. The diNovo desktop does not have the NUMLOCK function. Hence the number keys on the media pad can not be disabled (will still work as number keys only with NUMLOCK on or off). If you do require to toggle the NUMLOCK function, you would have to use the on screen keyboard to toggle this function.
2. I would suggest that you try reconnecting the devices again. If you own the diNovo Desktop Laser (bluetooth connection), you can secure the connection using the Bluetooth Connect Assistant (BCA) in SetPoint.

thanks for help j0ann3,
but i think that is possible somehow to enable NUMLOCK, cause later i wrote my first post i accidentally pushed some keys together and it showed on setpoint OSD notice `NumLock ON`, but i couldn`t remember what was the combination or what it caused, second, `diNovo keyboard for notebooks` doesn`t use BT for communication

i am having this same problem--at one point, i pressed the numlock key combination directly on my thinkpad x60's keyboard--and even since then--even though i have shut it off on the thinkpad keyboard--logitech setpoint still reports status as "Num Lock: On".
i would just like to reset this--it is annoying that it is reporting numlock status incorrectly.

Hi,
Can you try checking on your laptop to see which key is designated for the Num Lock function? You would have to press the FN and the designated key in order enable and disable the Num Lock function.
In regards to SetPoint detecting the Num Lock function on, disable the Num Lock using your laptop keyboard, then perform a clean boot on your system and manually run SetPoint. Check and see if the Num Lock function is still shown as 'ON' in the program.

j0ann3--
thanks for getting back to me on my question. i just completed a clean reboot--using the instructions posted--and manually launched setpoint to look at the numlock status--no change--it is still stuck at "Num Lock: On".
i know the numlock is going on and off when i activate/deactivate it using the laptop's keyboard, because there is an indicator light right below the screen that toggles appropriately. somehow setpoint is not picking up the current status--it got tripped once and has been stuck in that state ever since. i did some searching on the internet, and checked a registry entry to ensure it had the proper value reflecting numlock toggle state--that seemed fine, too. not sure what setpoint is using to trigger its numlock status reporting.
if you are up for it and can investigate further, i would certainly appreciate it. io can provide further details of my configuration (hw & sw) if desired--just let me know what you need to know to take the root cause analysis further...
thanks!
