G15 (Version 1) Keys Problem

This is strange. The G keys work, the light works, the USB ports work, and the screen works. The rest of the keyboard, including the numpad, letterpad, volume, |<<, >>|,  stop and play/pause do not work. Here is what I have tried:

 -------------

-Unplugging other keyboard.

-Plugging in back and front of computer case.

-Installing drivers provided with CD, and downloading the latest Vista 32-bit drivers from the internet.

 -------------

Should I restart the computer? Contact technical support?

Re: G15 (Version 1) Keys Problem

I have a similar problem (I my case only a couple of keys fail (backspace, esc, etc.))

I went one further and took the keyboard apart and put it back together again.

The technical support reply was a non-answer.

They did say my warranty was voided because I dismantled the keyboard.

Like I care about that... I'd pay double for a new one if it were available.

O, they also said the problem is regarded as solved if they got no reply within 120 hours.

I guess my problem must be solved by now.

Re: G15 (Version 1) Keys Problem

[ Edited ]

Now I have tried the keyboard with my laptop, a Compaw Presario V2000 with Windows XP, and it works. Not very satisfied because the computer it will not work on is a hardcore gaming machine. This situation still needs fixing. Also this can be moved to the Software subforum, rather than hardware.  My mouse, headphones, and gamepad are all Logitech, and the best I have used of each. Now let's get the keyboard to be a part of it! :smileywink: :smileyvery-happy:

Re: G15 (Version 1) Keys Problem

The Media and QWERTY keys on the G-15 are controlled with the Windows HID keyboard drivers. As a consequence of this, if your QWERTY and media keys are not working, then the Windows HID driver is at fault. I'm a bit squished for time, so my best advice is to search a bit through the forum search utility. There are instructions on how to get the Windows drivers to reinstall and associate properly
