I noticed the down arrow key on my Mini (when in cursor key mode rather than touchpad mode)
often does not work and has to be pressed several times before it responds. I also noticed
a posting by someone over in the avsforums who had the same problem.

Anyone else with down arrow blues? Is this is a generic problem with the first batch
of Minis?

On a more positive note: I did get mine to work with Linux (touchpad was the tricky

Apparently if you push the pad around the 7:30 position rather than
the marked 6:00 position, the down arrow works much more reliably.

I've tested it on mine, and it does seem to work consistently with
the slight shift in position.

Just purchased mine and I have the same exact issue. Pushing the down button at the 4:30 or 7:30 (diagonal) position works for me. I hope there is a fix or a replacement! s/n LZ808A3

I noticed it on two different systems, one Windows XP, one Fedora 8 Linux.

On yet another Linux system with gentoo linux, I had rebuilt the usb drivers
to enable low-level tracing, and no USB reports were showing up at all
when the down arrow wasn't working, so it sure seems like the keyboard
simply wasn't sending anything.
