Have I just been blind when looking for the vertical bar (|) character on
my diNovo mini, or does it really not exist?

Function keys, I can almost forgive, but | is used in the shell on windows
and linux. How could you leave off | ?

shift+FN+\ works for me. I'm still trying to find tilde(~) and grave quote (`). Any clue?

Hey it does work! I wasn't expecting weird combos like Shift+FN to be needed, I was just
looking for a | somewhere in thin blue script and couldn't find one. I can't find tilde
or backtick either now that you mention it.

There are plenty of keys with no FN shift on them, I'm really mystified why they didn't
put all the keys from a standard keyboard on the thing. At least put F1 through F10
on the number row and move DEL up to FN+Backspace.

I was using it as an emergency USB keyboard to try and install XP on a system that
only has USB inputs, and the first thing the XP installer wanted me to do was
type F8 to accept the license agreement. That didn't work very well - had to dig up
a real USB keyboard :-).
