S510 sleeping problem

Hello, i have just purchased the Logitech S510 cordless desktop with the remote.

The problem that i am having, is that my system randomly sleeps when i busy working.
What makes it very frustration is that it seems to have happened with all three devices, keyboard mouse and remote, and absolutely randomly.

I am hoping that it is a software problem of sorts.
Please help

Re: S510 sleeping problem

Welcome to the Logitech Online User Discussion Forum Xel:smileyhappy:

Please let me know the software version installed for this cordless desktop device and does the same problem occur when you move the receiver to other USB ports.

I also recommend that you that you test the devices in native drivers or embedded mode and you may refer to the steps provided in this thread (refer to my posting).  Please report back with the results.

Thanks!

Re: S510 sleeping problem

Hi, thanks but no luck thus far.

I have tried changing the USB port, but still got a random sleep.
I am running Driver - 2.40.849.00

Going to try native drivers or embedded mode now, will keep you posted.

Re: S510 sleeping problem

Please check the power management on your operating system and follow the steps below:
  1. Right click on desktop and choose Properties
  2. Click on the Screen Saver tab
  3. Under the Monitor Power, click the Power Option
  4. Check your Settings for Home/Office Desk power scheme
  5. Make sure all the fields are stated as Never
  6. Test the system now
