Setpoint 4.6 with Keyboard and Mouse

[ Edited ]
I have a Logitech Internet Navigator keyboard and a Logitech MX610 Left-handed mouse. I use these on Windows XP sp3 and have Setpoint 4.60.122 installed.
Initially, I had only the Internet Navigator and a basic Logitech Wheelmouse, and all was well. Since adding the MX610 and updating to Setpoint 4.6, I am unable to modify my keyboard settings from Setpoint, as only the mouse settings are available.

What do I need to do to allow Setpoint to configure both the keyboard and the mouse?
Thanks.

Me too!! Only I'm even missing the mouse. As I mean both my keyboard AND my mouse is not showing in SetPoint. I have MX5500 Revolution.

BTW: The software is no good. Big time.

Re: Setpoint 4.6 with Keyboard and Mouse

Hi:smileyhappy:,

Please try the following steps to resolve t his problem:

1. Exit SetPoint by right clicking on the SetPoint icon in the taskbar and selecting "Exit".2. Click on the Start button and in the run box, type "%windir%".3. Open the "system32" folder4. Open the "drivers" folder5. Rename the file "wdf01000.sys" to "wdf01000.bak"6. Reinstall SetPoint7. Important! Please check and verify the wdf01000.sys is present.  If not, immediately rename wdf01000.bak back to wdf01000.sys.  If rebooting without this file, it may prevent some of your hardware including mice and keyboards from working properly.8. Reboot the computer.9. After system is booted up, run SetPoint and check to see if the tabs appear properly.

Re: Setpoint 4.6 with Keyboard and Mouse

It resolved my problems, allright, following the steps above. I do now get both the Mouse and Keyboard tabs in SetPoint.

BTW: I was looking for the newest version of Logitech Desktop Messenger, but could not find it. Could you post a link maybe, if you do know? Thanks.

Hi:smileyhappy:,

LDM can be downloaded from this link. Updating LDM is not really necessary as LDM itself is an optional application not required to use any of our devices.

Hah! Your link is dead. See? Wasn't so easy to find it, as I said. I tried too. :smileyvery-happy:

Re: Setpoint 4.6 with Keyboard and Mouse

Hi,

this solution (with removing wdf01000.sys ...) doesn't work for me because this file doesn't exist in the drivers folder, even in the whole c: drive.

!!!

Can somebody help me ?
