Is there a way to display on the LCD the media display of the Zune application. The same features you see when you run iTunes is what I am looking for. If there isn't how do I make one or request one?

Sorry for the dumb question, but what software are you playing your Zune through? Is it Windows Media player or is it a custom Zune player? The applet that comes with the G15 works with WMP only.

And to reply to myself... From Wikipedia:

"Although the Zune software is a modified version of Windows Media Player, the Zune device was designed to only work with the Zune software. Zune software requires Windows XP or Vista, but can run on other versions of Windows with minor modifications. The version of the Zune Software to be released alongside the new line of devices will be rebuilt from the ground up, rather than being based on WMP 11."

Which means at the very minimum, Microsoft MUST supply an SDK (like most of the other players do) for the Zune software player. My guess is that it's coming, but it's just not public yet.

Is there any new information on this subject?  I'd really like to be able to use my Logitech G15 keyboard with the Zune music service.  :-(

I concur.  I just bought the G15 (the one with orange lights), and am AMAZED at how few gadgets there are for this thing.  I figured at the very least, my Zune software would work with it.  Sigh.

There's actually a large number of LCD applets out there. I'd check a 3rd party site like http://g15forums.com/forum/ for additional applets.

Micorosft hasn't yet released its SDK for zune, There is an api, but its not documented at all and only provides limited access to the zune library. It doesn't have access to the now playing that we are looking for!
