Re: DiNovo Edge Mac Edition Touchdisc Issue

It's been 5 months since this problem was first reported - I have since found a replacement KB with trackpad ($20) to use while I wait for Logitech to get theirs fixed. I'm giving them 'till the end of the the month and then it goes on eBay.

Totally unacceptable service. In fact will try to stay away from any Logitech products in the future as a result of this experience.

Re: DiNovo Edge Mac Edition Touchdisc Issue

I am extremely disappointed in the lack of communication from Logitech regarding a fix for this long standing problem.  I can no longer recommend Logitech products, nor will I purchase them in the future.  This is one of their most expensive premium products, and the support has been abysmal.

Hi Andrew,

I just got word that this issue has been resolved in the new version of Logitech Control Center.

They are still working on other fixes before it is ready. I can't say when exactly the release is to be expected but it should be finished soon.

I will keep your case open in my inbox and will let you know when LCC 3.2 is released.

So looks like there may be a fix soon on the horizon.

Hope that provides some people some hope like me that we may soon get to use our expensive keyboards they were meant to be used.

Cheers

Re: DiNovo Edge Mac Edition Touchdisc Issue

I just received two diNovo Edge keyboard (mac edition) today.  I was very excited.  To my horror, the trackpad does not work!?!  I was a previous owner of the standard PC version and it worked perfectly; but with a specialized edition for the Mac that I have, the trackpad decides not to work?  It lights up when the power to the keyboard is turned on or put into the charging station.  Is it the OS version?  I'm running 10.5.8 with the LCC 3.2.  I don't want to upgrade my whole system just to get a keyboard to work.  This is extremely disspointing.

Can someone from Logitech give a response or is this forum pointless?

Re: DiNovo Edge Mac Edition Touchdisc Issue

To anyone following this thread: LCC 3.2 has been released.  It fixes the touchdisc issue for me, running Mac OS X 10.6.2; however many other people on various forums including VersionTracker report that 3.2 is a buggy disaster, so keep that in mind when upgrading.

Re: DiNovo Edge Mac Edition Touchdisc Issue

Just wanted to note another user that is experiencing the same issue under Snow Leopard... Neither the left mouse button under the trackpad, nor the arrow button on the left of the keyboard will hold for more than about 2 seconds. I would upgrade to 3.2, but the feedback from those that have done so is horrifying (creates more issues than it solves).

Re: DiNovo Edge Mac Edition Touchdisc Issue

Just purchased this keyboard and mostly happy with it, Touchdisc works fine a little fiddly with scrolling.

Why did they us limited backlight when the whole keyboard would have been easy to backlight.?

My previous keyboard was an Addesso with trackpad , this logitech feels much better constructed.

Logitech saved a few dollars by leaving out the bluetooth dongle too

rgds,

Cliff

Re: DiNovo Edge Mac Edition Touchdisc Issue

I can also confirm that the latest MAC OS update fixed the trackpad dropping problem. (No thanks to Logitech).  Now if we could just turn off the "tap" feature as it causes more problems than it solves. You must be very careful when putting a finger on the pad to start scrolling or the pad will interpret it as a tap. Would also like to be able to scroll using 2 finger method rather than the the silly circle dance.

Re: DiNovo Edge Mac Edition Touchdisc Issue

Sorry for going off topic but I needed one of you "diNovo Edge Mac Edtition" owners to check for me the supported input voltage it's AC Adapter. Hopefully it should say something like "AC 100-240V, 50/60 Hz".

On this forum link it was reported the AC Adapter does stretch up to the 240v, but I would really like to double-check this.

Thanks in advance
