The special characters don't fit if I use Apple's keyboard layout.
So I much prefer to use Logitech's as it fits with my Logitech keyboard.
But MacOS will not accept that I use only Logitech... I have to have both.
This would not be much a problem if I only used one input, but I use 7 - which is a lot to go though using the shortcut : [^]+[Shift]+[Space]
I try to configure my menu to have the less inputs as possible, even reducing it of one makes a difference.
So how can I disable Apple's keyboard layout and only use Logitech for Latin Characters?
Seems that at least 1 'officially registered' one must be enabled.
It's even grayed out and I can't deselect it:
:
Following this article, I tried to convert the Logitech Keyboard Layout bundle which still uses the old .scsr format to .keylayout, but that didn't work...same thing: can't disable Apple's (Apple layout bundle uses a .DAT file)
So I don't think creating a new keyboard layout file will be any better.
Anyone know a workaround?
@Logitech developers, please consider this in your next update.
And while I'm at it: would it be possible to add keyboard shortcuts it the future (like the 2 first inputs in the image, which is the Google Japanese IME) ?
-Thanks

Hi ,
I've posted yesterday the same issue for a Logitech Wave. I can't get it to work with the "Logitech Portuguese", it keeps reverting back to Apple Portuguese Layout...
I'm getting sick of this keyboard issue, and unfortunately 24 hours have passed with no reply from Logitech.
Regards

Reverts o_O ??
You mean at session login or any moment?
Mines dosen't revert, I just want to get ride of it that option.
I had a silimar issue with US keybord, not sure what I did but I tried several completely different Keyboard+Language settings and deleted the com.apple.systempreferences.plist in the ~Library/Preference folder... then re-loggedin.
...and it was miraculously fixed. (and it was not only the pref file, had tried it before)
Are your file permissions OK? (Meaning, do you run the Cron maintenance scripts regularly, or leave your computer on at night? Or have you tried the 'Fix permissions' in DickUtility?)
PS: Last time I came here, was also a looong wait...
