Re: LCC 3.1; Snow Leopard supported version is here .....

[ Edited ]

Logitech needs to discover the concept of beta testing.

Had an LCC 3.1 beta version gone out to a hundred or so experienced users, then all of these problems we have been plagued with could have been identified and fixed without impacting the entire community, many of whom rely upon their Macs for their professional livelihoods.

Logitech needs to get a 3.2 beta version out for testing ASAP, resolve any issues found, and get it released before their **Bleep** in 3.1 cost their users even more time and money.

[Mod Note: Bleeped out word]

Re: LCC 3.1; Snow Leopard supported version is here .....

I get weird safari tabs after installing this.  Bizarre.  Uninstalled right away and tabs are fixed in safari. I have no idea how the hell a mouse driver relates to my safari install, seems a bit shifty.

Re: LCC 3.1; Snow Leopard supported version is here .....

Just to be a little more clear, newly created tabs via Command+T or double clicking the tab bar usually don't display the error.

It does appear consistently when tabs are set via safari preferences to NOT become active immediately, and you click on a link and either manually instruct it to open in a new tab or an external application is set to open links in a new tab. Then safari will attempt to render the current, AND the newly created tab as the front tab in the tab bar.  It doesn't effect the behaviour of safari, just the visual appearance of the tab bar is messed up and confusing.

Re: LCC 3.1; Snow Leopard supported version is here .....

Hi,

There's a bug: Since I updated LCC, my mouse sometimes becomes irresponsive in all applications.

It gets fixed if I force quit and relaunch the Finder

What can I do? Can I download the old version somewhere?

Also seems I did something that disabled all the numpad. Tried [Shift]+[Clear]... Is there an other equivalent of NumLock,?

Mac OS 10.5.8 - Cordless Desktop S530 Laser for MAC - LCC 3.0.1

PS:

  • It's cool that the LCC installer app checks for updates.
  • And this forum uses a new CSM! Lithium, very nice! Like the editor.  But the spell checker dosen't seem to know much computer terms. It didn't know: "relaunch", "NumLock", "Numpad" nor "irresponsive" Maybe you should add them to the dictionary.

Re: LCC 3.1; Snow Leopard supported version is here .....

Ya know, all of this BS with Mac support is ridiculous.  I'm going to go see what Microsoft has to offer in the way of Mac support.  And here i wanted to buy some unified wireless gear for my mac, but it would seem they're not supported, and I'm not downloading LCC 3.1 until they get their stuff together, nor am I going to waste my money on a new mouse and keyboard that isn't supported.

Re: LCC 3.1; Snow Leopard supported version is here .....

Any word on when a bugfix release of LCC 3.1 will come out?

Also, as a recent Mac purchaser, is this the kind of "support" that I can expect from Logitech whenever a new Mac OS comes out?  Regardless, for the time being I will have to stop recommending or purchasing Logitech products until the driver support situation improves.

Re: LCC 3.1; Snow Leopard supported version is here .....

I just installed LCC 3.1 on a vanilla build of Snow Leopard on my Mac Pro, and it recognised my trackball and keyboard. However the Logitech keyboard was not selectable when using 64 bit apps like Safari and Mail.

When are we likely to see a version of LCC that allows a Logitech keyboard to be used with 64 bit apps?

Re: LCC 3.1; Snow Leopard supported version is here .....

just installed LCC 3.1 with dinovo keyboard Mac Edition and Snow Leopard 10.6.1. Restarted, launched LCC in system prefs, it doesn't see my keyboard. Tried to find FAQ on Logitech website but navigation rather useless. Re-installed, restarted, nada. Want to uninstall but can find no info.

Re: LCC 3.1; Snow Leopard supported version is here .....

My logitech dinovo edge wireless bluetooth keyboard mac edition used to work fine, then snow leopard broke it.. but the 3.1 update for logitech software fixed it.  But with the latest Snow Leoport update from apple it's broken again... i can't get it to work and then when I tried to have it setup as a device again, it wouldn't do it.  The 'green' bluetooth button on the keyboard doesn't blink when trying to get setup.. it just blinks once and then stays solid... i can't get it setup and working... driving me crazy.  Please please update the logitech software to fix this..

With Forum users help, we find out that some incidents the LCC Daemon did not start for unkown reasons.

(The LCC Daemon did not start or stopped issue has been escalated and it is now under investigation.)

Here is  the workaround:

1.  Active Logitech Control Center Daemon manually (double-click): Go to Library > Application Support > Logitech > Logitech Control Center Daemon

2. Verify the LCC Daemon is running with 'Activities Monitor'  in Utilites

3. If LCC Daemont did not restart after reboot, you can add it to 'login items' in user accounts as workaround for now.
