Keyboard and Keyboard + Mice Combos with Mac (READ ONLY ARCHIVE)

I have a LX710 Keyboard and mouse that I bought a few years ago for a G3 600mhz iMac. Recently I upgraded to a G4 1.0ghz iMac. Since upgrading I have been completely unable to use my keyboard or mouse, the computer will not recognize them. Previously, with the G3 600mhz it would not recognize, but still functioned perfectly. I am using the generic Mac compatibility software, because there is no specific software for the device for the mac. If someone could explain this and perhaps solve the issue it would be much appreciated.
