DiNovo Edge - Wake Vista from Standby/Hibernate

Is it possible to wake Vista Ultimate with a DiNovo Edge from standby/hibernate? I'm using an ASUS P5B Vista Edition Motherboard. If possible I will buy the keyboard soon.

Re: DiNovo Edge - Wake Vista from Standby/Hibernate

Yes it will work with Vista and sleep.
But I'm having problems with this keyboard.
If I leave it out of the cradle Vista goes to sleep.
Touch a key and Vista wakes up.

But if Vista is sleeping and I plug the board into the charger, Vista wakes up and now never sleeps.
But the keyboard does not charge.

I have exactly the same problem. Keeps waking up Vista when charging.

I can get it to wake from sleep when using the supplied BT USB dongle, but not using my laptops onboard BT  - have you got it to wake using non-logitech BT?

Guessing no one found a fix for this, really annoying that I put Visat to sleep, drop the Edge into charge and Vista resumes.

Re: DiNovo Edge - Wake Vista from Standby/Hibernate

I'm unable to wake Vista 32-bit from Hibernate with the keyboard. I hit keys and the sleep button, but nothing happens. In device manager/power management, the keyboard is allowed to bring the computer out of standby/hibernate. However I still need to walk over to the computer and turn it on to wake it back up.

Re: DiNovo Edge - Wake Vista from Standby/Hibernate

BUMP
Why does putting the dinovo edge in it's charge cradle wake up my PC - even when the keyboard is switched OFF!!!!

This is absolutely stupid. If the PC is on, I'm using the keyboard so I can't charge it. If the PC is off I can't charge it because it turns the PC on again.

SOLUTION PLEASE LOGITECH....

Re: DiNovo Edge - Wake Vista from Standby/Hibernate

This is still an unsolved problem:
DiNovo Edge. PC goes to S3 sleep, if the keyboard is charged in the cradle, the PC wakes up right away. Keyboard on or off doesn't matter.

I guess the keyboard keeps sending battery status BT telegrams when it's charged, and is turned on allways, when in the charger. This turns the PC on at the moment it falls to sleep.

So, I guess logitech should send us a keyboard firmware udate to stop the keyboard sending battery telegrams while in charger and switched OFF..?

Please send your solution.

Re: DiNovo Edge - Wake Vista from Standby/Hibernate

I too have the same problem. I had a ticket open with Logitech back in June 2008, but they had me go back and forth with generic form-letter responses, until they finally bumped me to phone support. The tech guy claimed that others had the same problem. His suggestion was to turn of the DiNovo's capability to wake the computer from standby! Well, duh, of course that will work, but it's no good for a HTPC! ;-( As the other posters have claimed, as soon as you put it in the cradle, regardless of the power switch on the KB being on/off, the computer will wake up. Pretty lame, if you ask me.

Re: DiNovo Edge - Wake Vista from Standby/Hibernate

Have same probem. Logitech support has been useless. I have been busy with them since early september.

In the beginning, they denied the problem, I wasted a lot of time following their instructions, then a couple of weeks ago, a technician states that this is a known problem and cannot be solved. As I wasted a lot of time, I want my money back and compensation for the time I lost following there useless instruction.

After another couple of weeks, another technician claims that there is no problem at all and that I should send all my event logs ... There we go again.

Shameless !!

This simply does not work. I tried on 3 different systems: Vista, XP and even linux

All different mainboards, suspend/resume working fine, except with dinovo edge
