MX 5000 keyboard disconnecting every 2 minutes!

[ Edited ]
I just bought this thing and installed setpoint 4.40.88 and programed everything perfect. But every 2-3 minutes, without a doubt, the keyboard will disconnect. it seems to almost turn completly off until you start pressing buttons, then it turns on and connects. I knew when I ordered this that it might happend but this is ridiculous!

Is there ANY work around for this? this product should not be sold in the market

Have you uninstalled setpoint, gone into msconfig, goto selective startup check it, uncheck win.ini, system.ini and load startup items, goto services tab, check hide all microsoft services then click on disable all, click ok reboot, return to msconfig click normal start, reboot, then re-installed 4.40.88 then pair the items and you should be good, if it still does this tyhen the receiver is busted

Other than being a rather rude response (is there really a need for name calling here? Geez!) this does seem to be the recommended way of reinstalling SetPoint if something goes wrong with it. That is what I was instructed to do when I submitted a help ticket for this same issue. However, it did not make any difference. Further, any driver or other software that MUST be installed with all other processes turned off or with the computer in Safe Mode, is some poorly coded software indeed.

Logitech seems to not care too much that many of their customers are having these issues with the MX5000 desktop. I can see that here from the zero response, and also in the help ticket that I initiated and they refuse to respond any further to. I have requested an RMA for mine, and will be switching to Microsoft products now, which is a real shame, since I have been a loyal and enthusiastic Logitech customer for many years.
