I think it would be a recall in that case. And since no one's life is in danger, and not everyone has the problem (or else this thread would be huge!), it's cheaper for them to have us ship them the item, they flash the firmware and ship it back.

What would be very convenient for us customers, was if there was a way we could flash the firmware from home.

In fact, that would be very interesting from an engineering standpoint if Logitech gave us an API to reprogram the mini as we see fit. :-)

Does send the keyboard to factory to update firmware is the only way to resolve the problem? I'm living in China! I think Logitech should think this problem as a world-wide issue, because this production sold world-wide!

I just bought this keyboard 3 days ago from Canadacomputers in Toronto. And my keyboard has the same problem. I am wondering should I return the keyboard and wait for future shipment?

I still would like to get this keyboard, do you know when the updated keyboard will be available for purchase?

I have the same loses connection problem after some undeditermined time when computer is in standby or hibernate. For me it is a big problem . Without remote wakeup HTPC means nothing with this keyboard.
I hope logitech find the solution without posting the keyboard. Because I live in ISTANBUL..

Hi,

I just bought my Dinovo mini from Walmart yesterday.  I think I have a two or three week return period.  I love this little keyboard setup!   It works great but I also have the sleep issue.  Removing the battery does work but I would like this fixed.  Should I return this until the issue is resolved (while i still can return it)?

I would. Unless Walmart is going to charge you a restocking fee. Then again, if that costs less then what it will cost to ship the mini back to Logitech for the repairs, you're better off returning it and waiting. But it'll probably be a while until the fixed version makes it into the sales mainstream.

How will Logitech be handling the repairs?  Is Logitech going to offer free shipping (the least you could offer)?  

I think you should have a exchange program where you take a credit card number to hold on to, ship a new working unit, then send it with a prepaid box to ship the old unit back. 

It is a great product but this has been going on since March (just read the dates on this thread).  It is really unacceptable for you to be selling a broken product that you have known was broken for 5+ months. 

The delays are not even believable for a company of your size.  I really doubt it takes 3 weeks to ship a keyboard. 

This is a case of the company not caring about the customer.  Your responses (while appreciated) show me that this issue is not important to Logitech as a company.  I suppose you dont sell many Mini's. 

I am very disapointed to see how long this is taking to resolve.
