Hi everyone, I just wanted to share what I am hoping is a success story with this problem.  My keyboard would stop working several times an hour, it was driving me nuts.

What I did to fix it was to replace the usb dongle.  I had an old one laying around, it wasn't a version 2 or whatever, it's the old style with the shorter range.  It has been working for the past several hours, which is way more than I was getting with the crappy Logitech one.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but for now it seems okay.

I would definately suggest trying it, bluetooth dongles are fairly cheap, and when it works this thing is great.

I cant believe how long this is taking to resolve.  Maybe Logitech has no solution & thats why they are keeping quiet?

While that might be true, the last we heard, the solution was being shipped to Logitech on 8/7/08.  Nothing since then.  This thread was started in April.  To me 5+ months is a bit to long for this type of issue.  Maybe I am being to demanding.

If there was a little more communication from the Logitech end, maybe we wouldnt feel like they "forgot" about us.

Quick update, my keyboard quit out on me once last night, so the new dongle has not fixed the problem completely.  It is definately WAY less frequent now, but the problem is not completely gone.  Very disappointing...

I've had a Dinovo Mini for about a week.  With Setpoint installed I was having to take the battery out very frequently.  After uninstalling Setpoint the problem occurs less often but still a lot.

As a temporary solution (until Logitech actually fixes the problem) I have installed a tilt switch which disconnects the battery if the keyboard is tilted away from the user thus "hard resetting" the keyboard.  It was a bit fiddly to do but not too bad and the switch only cost $2.  The copper track is some self adhesive stuff I happened to have.  The upper (in the picture) track goes under the battery and touches the battery terminal, it is insulated with insulating tape.  The lower (in the picture) track goes over the insulating tape.  The connector on the keyboard pushes the copper tracks which are separated by insulating tape), makes contact with the lower one and pushes the upper one against the battery.

It is all easily removed when a better solution comes along!

You should market that as a product for Logitech.   Similar to all those businsesses that allow you to change your Ipod battery.  That looks like a great idea for a solution!

After waiting so long, I'm extremely disappointed with Woody's response.

I do have something else that I think you should consider trying. It's been a few weeks since I have had a problem with the keyboard and the only thing I changed was my SetPoint software. I installed SetPoint with the uberOptions pack, which I doubt is supported by Logitech, but it doesn't look like Logitech is doing anything to support us anyway.
