Thanks. I am also experiencing the same problem and am anxiously looking forward to the response. It took me so long to convince my wife that the home theater pc would be as easy as to use as the cable box, and now I'm losing all credibility.

Awesome news Woody...anxiously awaiting your response. My wife accidentally snapped the little battery tab from all the taking out and putting it back.

Re: Novo Mini Keyboard loses connection after some undeditermined time when computer is in standby

Just found this thread and am glad to see that others got this rather annoying problem too and Logitech is looking into it.
I got reminded about an old dongle laying around and am using it now to connect the diNovo. Will post back if switching the dongle resolves the issue.

Ok, that was a quick test :smileyhappy:
The generic dongle lost connection when going into standby immediately and is therefore completely useless. Will stay with the one provided by Logitech for now.

Re: Novo Mini Keyboard loses connection after some undeditermined time when computer is in standby

Hi all,

Glad to find this thread... thought I was going nuts.

Just wanted to add my name to list of DiNovo Mini users with bluetooth drop out problem.

Running XP Pro SP2 on AMD 4200+, Giga GA-MA78GM-S2H M/B, 2GB DDR2

Like others I drop out with o'night standby.

Already returned original Mini as it arrived DOA & it took 3 weeks to replace through interstate retailler.  Don't really want to go through the inconvenience again, so will await response from Logitech on this thread.

I snapped that little tab too.  Bad design to hold a pretty critical component of the device - a little brittle piece of plastic intended to bend and snap the battery into place?

Re: Novo Mini Keyboard loses connection after some undeditermined time when computer is in standby

Another one who has a brand new mini with exactly this problem - eagerly awaiting a reply from Logitech on this forum - is anyone in contact with them keeping them accountable? This is a pretty bad problem.

Running Vista Premium on AMD 4200+, Giga GA-MA78GM-S2H M/B, 2GB DDR2 etc.

Also, this may be of interest to you...I have a Logitech MX5500 Evolution mouse and keyboard. I updated to the latest setpoint software being 4.6 I think. When I did this, it automatically updated the firmware in my Logitech USB dongle. As you may know, this dongle was unable to function as a Bluetooth hub and was advertised as not being able to which I was fine with. This firmware upgrade has enable the dongle to now be a USB hub. So now I don't need to go and buy a separate one for my desktop computer.

I am about to plug my mini's USB dongle into the computer as well and see if I can't upgrade the firmware in that dongle and maybe (fingers crossed) fix this problem.

Cheers.

Re: Novo Mini Keyboard loses connection after some undeditermined time when computer is in standby

Just wanted to update this thread.. it appears my dinovo mini is behaving now.

When I suspend my vista and then resume.. my dinovo mini is working without taking the battery out.. which I had to do before.

I have not changed anything and pretty clueless to how it works now.. not complaining will enjoy it the way it should of been to start off with.

Re: Novo Mini Keyboard loses connection after some undeditermined time when computer is in standby

Hi, well I'm glad yours is working but mine isn't. The problem is still there and exactly as the others say. It will work for a short time after suspension but for some reason when I come to it the next day it's dead and I have to power cycle the remote.

I also tried upgrading the firmware on the dongle however it doesn't do it, I would imagine because it's already got the latest on it.

Please help Logitech!

Re: Novo Mini Keyboard loses connection after some undeditermined time when computer is in standby

Woody,

Back on the 10th of June, you mentioned Logitech was working on a solution to the problem for which this thread is based on, the loss of connection of the DiNovo Mini after being in a suspended state for an extended period of time.  Do you know if anyone is still working that issue or has it been forgotten.  The problem still exist and many consumers like myself would love to get this resolved.

Thank you for your assistance.
