While booting, the keyboard behaves as a normal USB-Keyboard. So check your USB Legacy support configuration in the BIOS.

I have the same problem. It works fine for wired USB keyboards, but not for my MX5500. I've tried changing the Legacy USB support in BIOS, but no change. Very frustrating.
