Keyboards - Bluetooth

So, I picked up the MediaBoard Pro and a bluetooth dongle (with BlueSoliel 1.6) for my PC.  Easy install, everything worked great for months...  then, my daughter started crawling and broke the dongle.  I got a new dongle, installed the new software (BlueSoliel 2.?) and the program won't find the keyboard.  I uninstalled the software and went back to the older version.  The program finds the keyboard immediately but will not establish service...  I tried this on another PC also...  the new dongle will find the keyboard with the older software, will find it if I "define" the address with the new software, but it will not start the service.  Any thoughts?

I forgot to add...  the first dongle I bought was bluetooth version 1.2, the new one is 2.0.  I thought there might be a compatibility issue but the keyboard is for the PS3.  It is supposed to be version 2.0 also.
