Anybody ever change their K750 battery?

[ Edited ]

Logitech now claims that the battery in the K750 is not replaceable and has eradicated all traces of the previous instructions on how to replace the battery. The timing strikes me as rather suspicious given how the 3 year warranty on the oldest K750's are just starting to end, but anyways, would anyone who has replaced their K750's battery care to share what they did?

Hello Raident,

If the FAQ has change, is best not to replace the battery for your Wireless Solar Keyboard K750 on your own since this will void your product's warranty. Let me suggest contacting our Phone Support team to further assist you with this.

The battery is replaceable but the work can be tedious. My keyboard was damaged by me so the warranty was already voided. I decided to disassemble it and I have a battery on order.

Pull the plastic face carefully and remove the 28 small screws (a few are black on mine, the rest are zinc and easier to see). The battery is pressed in from the back but the drawer which holds it is one-way only. Once you have the keyboard in half, remove the battery and plastic holder and then reassemble. The new battery can be pressed in through the back once again.

Where can you buy the battery? Voiding warranty doesn't matter for me because Logitech wouldn't honor my warranty without the receipt. Also, where are the screws? Are they under the rubber feet? My battery won't charge anymore than 58%.

If it's not replacable I'm just going to throw away this keyboard and use my office's Microsoft keyboard.

The battery slot is not one way. It has a lip on the side that faces up. Press the slide out down and it will come out. You kind of have to pry a little hard but it doesn't break unless you pres to hard. If logitech wants me to write up a tutorial I send it to them.

Same issue, as Acolyte where can I buy just the battery. Logitech is being horrible about the receipt thing when it is impossible to be out of the 3 year warranty for the product not to even be out that long. Anyone able to find one?

Re: Anybody ever change their K750 battery?

How to open the battery slot.

Use small flat screwdriver (very small) 2mm wide and sharp too. It will not make a mark on the plastic around it because it so thin and only 2mm wide. Now how to open it, take the keyboard with the key pad toward you (solar panel on top and space bar on your desk) now push gently on the small opening then move the screw driver toward you it will move the slot out. Now put it gently with your fingers. You will get this out quite easy.

The battery you can buy anyware sinds the type is CR 2032, you can buy it cheap at IKEA.

Just try this!!

The CR battery is not rechargable. You need the ML 2032 battery which can be found on ebay.

Here is a photo of the battery, notice it says RECHARGEABLE:
