Re: Battery for K750 Solar Keyboard

Mine is about 8 months old and was fine till I first saw the battery life was down to 43%. Its now at 60%

I've made the changes suggested around changing the status of the usb settings.

I've been blasting the board under the light for hours and its only gone up a couple of percent.in 2 days.

I can't keep leaving the lights on in the house at all hours, but I'll keep monitoring it. Clearly something is not well with the board.

Call back and insist on talking to a senior tech support rep.  Obviously you got someone who was clueless and didn't understand the product.  That is how Logitech will lose customers.

Re: Battery for K750 Solar Keyboard

I'm having the same issue too. Looks like there is a fundamental flaw in the design of this keyboard charging circuitry. When you call Logitech they offer to replace it with a new one, but how long? I'm sure I'll have the same problem with the new one too. No matter how much amount of light the keyboard receives, it never charges the battery. Luckily I managed to get a few duplicate batteries and it works like charm. I have about 10 of them and will keep replacing it once every 2 or 3 months. I just love this keyboard barring just the battery issue. Hope Logitech does something to fix it.

Re: Battery for K750 Solar Keyboard

Are they replacing the whole keyboard or just the battery?  So far mine is charging.  I wonder if there is a wire which is susceptible to coming loose someplace inside?  With a 3 year warranty, hopefully the keyboard will display the problem before it expires and can be completely replaced.

Re: Battery for K750 Solar Keyboard

When I bought this product I already new that if the solar unit keeps charging it at 100% all the time (discharge recharge) as with any rechargeable device it will ruin the battery.  So what I a m doing is cycling the battery. I am covering the solar cells So that it does not recharge the battery once under 20%*  then I will use the solar cells again. I plan to repeat this process twice a year.

*The possible (or more than likely) problem with doing it this way is it's been a month since I have been discharging the battery this way and it has only lost 4%. This is too slow, and for the discharged part of the battery to stay dead the length of time it's going to take to drain the battery will all So kill the battery.  It has to be exercised from time to time or it will die. Staying discharged or charged for too long of periods will ruin it.  So I will give it 1 more month if it hasn't lost enough I'll recharge it at least I hope some of the battery will be good enough to last.

Re: Battery for K750 Solar Keboard

I bought a new K750 keyboard but after 2 days the battery seems to be empty, i recharged it on full sunlight but after 2 days the battery is empty again.

After that i installed the solar app, and it seems that the battery doesent work well.

not anywhere near 3 month runtime

i try to switch off the keyboard after 4 hours use per day, with the same result, after 1-2 days the battery is empty
