We are using the K260 keybord/mouse combo with linux system.
They work ok, but unfortunatelly there is no led display for the caps/num/scroll lock status display.
I remember using some logitech software on windows machines a long time ago (we no longer use windows here) that displayed a nice green message each time we pressed caps/num/scroll buttons.
Is there any logitech app to provide the same feedback on linux?

I can happily assist you with this. SetPoint software can only be use on Windows Operating Systems, since is not supported by Linux.
I will suggest to look for a Linux application that provides an On-Screen Cap/Num/Scroll Locks indicator.

I, too, am using the Model K260 keyboard/mouse combo, and am happy with it other than the fact that I can't tell when num locks etc. are ON. I have downloaded Set Point, and changed settings, but when I hit APPLY nothing seems to happen. There is no on-screen indication....nothing.
What do I do now?
I am using this device with Windows 7.

I understand that you are also unable to get the On-screen notifications using your Logitech Wireless Combo MK260 keyboard. This keyboard doesn't use SetPoint it only uses Logitech Connection Utility and this software is used for connectivity issues, not to adjust settings.
I hope this information is useful.

Can Support be more direct with the answer, please. I am really disappointed that I can find no status indicator for the caps lock. Is none really available, especially as an indicator light on the keyboard? yes or no? If yes, how can we find it or set up software on the computer to find it?
I am using Windows 7--have bought 2 wireless K350 keyboards but would not have if I had known there was no indicator. This feels like a defective product without a light.

For the Logitech Wireless Keyboard K350, you can use the SetPoint software that will provide Num Lock and Caps Lock indicators, and here's where you can download the software from:

I'm also having trouble with this. I just bought a K350 keyboard & mouse set (MK550) and cannot tell if caps lock or num lock is on or not. I have downloaded and installed Set Point 6.51.8 on my Windows 7 x64.
I've gone through all the options in Set Point and no matter what I do, there's no indication as to the status of the caps or num locks.
As stated by others, this is very dissapointing.
Can you please provide a fix for this??

Once you install SetPoint, you'll have the On-Screen indicators, there's no need to setup this option. As mentioned on the FAQ I provided on my previous post, these messages "On-Screen indicators", will appear for approximately 2 seconds each time either key is pressed.
If this is not happening, try uninstalling the software and installing it again.

I see this is an old thread but I am in disbelief. I have recently purchased the MK260 and now realizing that it does not have indication of lock keys. And is it true that the SetPoint software does not work at all? I'm running WinXP SP3. I picked this combo because I liked the size/shape as well as the price. But I would have not purchased the MK260 had I known of this shortcoming. Now it's too late for a return and I'm stuck with it. I think Logitech owes us faithful consumers something for this lack of support. Any suggestions???

I did install SetPoint anyways and thus far found that it is somewhat aware with limited functions, but is only applied to the tasktray icon. The icon shows the status of lock keys when (and only when) it is highlighted with the mouse cursor. Strange and unusual.
