Combine Dinovo edge mouse with MX Revolution?

[ Edited ]

Hi!

First of all I want to thanks for great products!

My problem is that I have been using the Dinovo edge keyboard for a while now and bought an MX Revolution when I want to play games and other stuff.

But now I have to choose witch mouse I want to use, the pad on the edge keyboard or MX Revolution, I want to have both of them enabled at the same time for those times when the Revolution is to far away or if I want to use more mouse and the MX Revolution is a better way to go. Seems so unecessary to have to go to set Point and activate that mouse I want to use for the moment. How should I do to fix this problem?

Sincerely

Andreas M

Hi:smileyhappy:,

As long as the MX Revolution and diNovo Edge are both connected, both the mouse and touch pad should always be enabled.

Re: Combine Dinovo edge mouse with MX Revolution?

This is taken from another forum, but I have the same problem and can't find any solution. Any help much appreciated.

I'm hoping that someone can give me some ideas on what is going on. I have a Logitech diNovo Edge (purchased 21-Mar-09) keyboard and Logitech MX Revolution (purchased 31-Aug-07). Both are running on Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit with Setpoint 4.80 64bit.

The problem is that the mouse keeps freezing and lagging as I move it about the screen and go about my business. Here's what I've already tried:
- Changed USB ports (using only the main computer ones, not a USB hub) on both keyboard and mouse USB dongles - same problem
- Tried diNovo and Mx Revolution without any Setpoint software -- same problem
- Tried diNovo only, no MX Revolution -- no lag, everything is fine
- Tried diNovo with another cordless USB dongle mouse -- no lag, everything is fine
- Tried diNovo and Mx Revolution mouse on another Win7 machine - same problem (so it's not the USB ports)
- Did complete clean-out of registry of Setpoint and re-installation on several Win7 machines -- same problem

I've probably tried a pile of other combinations as well without success using up most of my time yesterday afternoon. I know my MX Revolution is about 2 years old -- never dropped it or anything but it's out of warranty so I don't know if it's a hardware problem. I have tried two other cordless mice (Microsoft Bluetooth laser 8000, Microsoft Arc mouse, HP cordless mouse) without any issues combined with the diNovo keyboard. I did try one other Logitech V500 cordless mouse that I have for my laptop; it also has the same problem.

Does anyone have any ideas other than I just drop using Logitech mice and go with a different manufacturer for the mouse?
