hi,
i want to connect thi set to my notebook, but WITHOUT the BT tras.
i have BT in my laptop, that can handle up to 8-10 devices.
i'd like to use the desktop set at my office, then throw the laptop inside my suitcase with the mx rev mouse(from the set),
than i got this mouse on the go. i hate notebook mice, they are too small for my hand.
than when i comeback, the keyboard will connect automaticaly, like my cellphone etc. i hope.
is that possible, to connect the MX 5500 set to a computer without using the Logitech original BT tras?
please, this is a reason to buy this set so anyone with experience is more than welcome. ~180$ for this set is not money to throw..
thanks
Dor.

Hi
,
The MX5500 is able to connect to any computer that has a Bluetooth Radio without going through its own receiver.

Hi there
I've got a similar issue.
I bought another USB Bluetooth receiver because it is faster and can handle more devices.
Do you have any instructions on how to pair the mice/keyboard with a Bluetooth receiver,
other than Logitech's own one. The SetPoint software seems to work with Logitech's
device only.
Thanks,

I can can connect my mx5500 using my toshiba laptops bluetooth - works fine except the LCD does not sychronize and the LCD settings cannot be changed. Works fine with the Logiteck Bluetooth hub. I would prefere to use only my toshiba bluetooth - any suggestions?
cheers

I have upgraded via webupdates to 4.72.4 and it appears to work ok with the toshiba bluetooth - are there any down sides to using the toshiba bluetooth?
cheers

Hi
,
No downsides that I know off; except for the fact that our Bluetooth capable devices normally only work with the Microsoft or Widcomm bluetooth stacks. Usually they just fail to connect with Toshiba stacks
