I have a Cordless Desktop Wave keyboard+ mouse combo. The mouse doesn't seem to work anymore. The cursor doesn't respond to the movements of the mouse. However, the buttons of the mouse still work - both left and right buttons and the two back and forward buttons. The keyboard is in perfect condition.
I changed the batteries of the mouse multiple times, and even moved the USB receiver from the stand to different USB ports on my laptop. I also tried the Connect button on both USB receiver and the mouse. I use the mouse on a mouse pad.
Not sure what's going on. When I tried the Connect Utility software in my PC, the program complains, "Please connect your Logitech cordless mouse Mini Receiver in a USB port or click on Cancel to abort." When I follow that instruction, the message doesn't go away. The SetPoint program also locates the mouse and says that the batteries are good.
I'm not sure what's wrong here. It could be the mouse or the USB receiver.
