Hello guys,
Here is a long story:
After installing SP2 on my XP64 machine about a week ago my Logitech gear started causing troubles. The keyboard wouldn't connect, only after turning it off and on (removing the batteries and putting them back in) it would connect. This week I started having the same problems with my mouse (MX900).
Since I didn't have the setup-files for Setpoint 2.60 anymore (had a harddrive crash a few months back) I installed the newest version 4.70 for XP64. Now I'm even worse off than before.
I still have to re-connect my gear every time the computer starts. And the pointer precision is down to 2x2 pixels - which is completely unacceptable since I'm in the computer animation industry and need high precision to be able to work with Photoshop and various 3D packages.
Now, the pointer precision glitch isn't new to me. I noticed that from 3.10 (I think) upwards which is why I stuck with 2.60 on both my 32 and 64 bit XPs.
Is there any way to get the 2.22 or 2.60 version for XP64 anywhere? I downloaded 3.15 but it says that I have to install 2.22 first which I can't find anywhere. Maybe somebody still has them lying around somewhere (as I did until a couple of months back).
On the Logitech website it says that the earliest version that works with XP64 is 2.42 so it's even more ridiculous that the 3.15 installer is asking for 2.22 to be installed.
Thanks in advance,
Charly
