Hi Cintech
Now thats what i call a real support answer! First i saw this was one of the top seven troubleshooting issues on the keyboard.. And the only suggested solution was to take battery out and back in again.. which of course is not acceptable.
Your guide should be linked to on the main logitech troubleshooting site.
I havent tested yet, but it sounds logical, will test and give kudos/solution tomorrow![]()
keep up the good work

My problem is the same as some other users here--- my Mini reliably wakes my htpc up from sleep but then loses the connection, forcing me to remove the Mini's battery. This 'solution' does nothing for the 'dead on wakeup' issue.
The Mini has been around for years now and could really do with a product refresh. These connectivity issues could be resolved along with some of the other minor quirks like the touchpad's sometimes-iffy responsiveness (particularly in directional arrow mode) and lack of more robust key programmability.

I have the same problem - the mini will wake the pc reliably, no matter how long the sleep time. But after waking that way, pairing is lost and the mini does not work. However, if I wake up the pc using another method (eg pc power button or wired usb mouse), the mini will function without issues.
Surely there must be a way to address this problem. Aside from this annoyance the mini has worked well for me.
Edit: I may have stumbled on a workaround for this issue. Try going into power saving settings under control panel. Go into the advanced power settings menu and disable USB selective suspend setting. I have done several wake from sleep cycles of various durations with that setting disabled and so far, the mini stays paired and works fine afterwards. Fingers crossed it will continue to work.

Replying in an effort to keep the related issues in one thread. Hopefully I'll get a response, too.
Including sometimes breaking connection when I power on from hibernate using the dinovo, I have other recurring issues with the dinovo mini.
Last night, I was using Internet Explorer and the mouse was working fine. Once I highlighted a textbox to type, I realized the keyboard was not working anymore. Once I removed the battery, I was able to use the keyboard again. This happens at seemingly random intervals. Annoying, but not a major nuisance since I use the computer primarily for HTPC functions. This is not limited to the keyboard letters, either. I am constantly removing the battery to get the back button and media buttons (play pause, etc) to work.
I also have noticed that sometimes after using the touchpad in mouse mode for a while, the sensitivity will drop way down. Meaning, a swipe across the touchpad will result in a few pixels' movement on the screen. The solution I've found to this is to switch to d-pad mode and then back to mouse mode. More of a moderate annoyance since I sometimes need to use the mouse for apps that don't support the dpad well.
Finally, the dpad sometimes doesn't want to register clicks correctly. For example, when scrolling through Netflix menus in WMC, I will press the right over dpad button, and eventually, it'll stop registering. It will sometimes register all the clicks in a quick succession (doing 20 scrolls over at once, which may be a sign of lag in the program), or it doesn't register at all until I click another direction on the dpad and then try again. This becomes frustrating more and more.
So, in all, there are 4 issues with my dinovo mini that are constantly popping up. I have to remove the battery far too much, on average at least once or twice per use. I'm pretty disappointed with my purchase of the dinovo mini so far, and I really don't look forward to using the product. As it is, we have migrated back to the xbox for netflix viewing until I can get the remote to be more reliable. This disappoints me, because I was hoping to have an all-in-one solution for all of my entertainment needs with the HTPC and the dinovo.

Yodies:
I had the same problem as you with my DiNovo mini on my HTPC where periodically, I would have to pop out the battery to get all the keys to work. I was pretty frustrated and was looking into buying a different mini keyboard/mouse combo to replace the Logitech, but I decided to try one other thing before doing so since I liked the feel and the layout of the DiNovo more than anything else I was able to find. I heard that Class 1 Bluetooth adapters had better range/power than class 2 so I decided to buy a cheap one and try it out. I ended up buying this:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0016JITJ8
Cirago Bluetooth BTA6210 v.2.1 EDR Class 1 Micro Bluetooth Adapter
I installed it and the basic drivers/software that came with it and removed the Logitech Bluetooth dongle that came with the DiNovo. Once I paired the DiNovo keyboard to the new Bluetooth adapter, it worked fine and I have not had to "reset" it by popping out the battery since. One other thing that I did was use a simple USB extension cable to reposition the new Bluetooth adapter higher up in my shelf where my AV equipment and HTPC are housed. Previously, the Logitech adapter was on the back of the HTPC at the bottom of my AV component rack. I don't know if it was the other Class 1 Bluetooth adapter or the repositioning of the adapter which solved my issue, but I would recommend trying the reposition first before buying anything.

I have somewhat the same problem... mini wakes up PC from sleep but loses connection after resume from sleep. Battery removal doesn't work to re-establish connection. I have DiNovo Edge on another HTPC and works like a charm. Will check Edge on pc where Mini has connection problem. Upon removal of battery, under direction of logitech as a method to re-establish connection, the battery holder tab broke. Warranty return in process.
