Dinovo Edge LOVE it but dies wayyy too fast (even after replacing battery)...

I have a dinovo edge keyboard that I absolutely love but it is out of warranty, I charge it and in the software it says 100% charged but within 2 days its full out dead till I put it back on the charger.  At first I assumed my battery was just not holding the charge so I replaced the battery (not too hard to do video on youtube), let it charge a ful 24 hrs yet again off the charger within about 48 hrs the unit goes from 100% to 0 charge.

I actually thought I had a bad battery so contacted the company sent me a replacement free, put that in did the same thing (dies within 48 hrs) so I am 99% sure the batteries here are good just they don't STAY charged like the unit is draining the battery faster than normal or possibly the charger is bad?

When I put the unit on charge the battery symbol flashes on the top left side, when it goes constant the battery symbol itself appears to show it as not full, but even if i leave it for days it just stays solid with part of that battery symbol being black (as if its not fully charged) yet the software on the pc shows 100% charged and even if I leave it on charger for days that symbol still appears to show a constant symbol but only the far 25% or so of the symbol appears to be green (rest is black like it's 25% full).

Anyway to tell if its the charger itself?

I was thinking of cleaning the contacts on both the keyboard and the charger next to see if that helps but that I see nothing on them (just kinda stuck at this moment) has anyone else had this happen?

LOVE this thing but so sad I have keep it on the charger all the time.

Cleaned the contacts on both the keyboard and charger with isopropyl alcohol but no difference, within 10 mins charging it stays solid which should mean full, software shows 100% battery but symbol while on the charger shows like 25% green 75% black which is odd almost as if it only took 25% charge?

Hello FTLOSM,

I suggest moving the ac adaptor to a wall out let, if you have it plugged into a power strip or surge protector.  Thank you for your detailed post you have covered all the other trouble shooting that I would have suggested.

[ Edited ]

It isplugged into a power strip, I will move this to a direct plug into the walll and let sit overnight, then see if it gets me anywhere after it has been on the charger with direct plug in for a day or so.

Thanks for the reply, only other thing I can think of (but the unit doesn't seem to be showing it) is somehow if a key or some function type button is stuck and sending a constant signal but it doesn't appear to be the case and the unit works fine just kinda stumped...

no luck on direct plug into wall, symbol on keyboard still shows about 25% charged and stays constant meaning it isn't charging anymore, and yet the software shows the battery at 100%, but if I use it about 2 hrs or so I lose about 30% right off the bat meaning within a day or two it will be dead again ughh..

Guess the thing is broken somehow beyond a replacement battery Bigtime Bummer...
