EX100 keyboard and mouse not connecting

I have an EX100 keyboard/mouse wireless keyboard. I have tried for the last hour to get them to connect so I can use them. I have had no luck whatsoever. I have tried using a different USB port but I get the same result. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Re: EX100 keyboard and mouse not connecting

Hi,

Do a Hard Reset method to clear the keyboard and mouse settings and reconnect it back to your computer:

•    Remove the batteries from the keyboard
•    Press the Connect button on the receiver for 10 seconds.
•    Press the Connect button on the mouse.
(You might need a pencil tip or other small tip to press the connect button.)
•    Insert the batteries back into the keyboard.
•    Press the Connect button on the receiver.
•    Press the Connect button on the keyboard.

Regards,

CalvinD

Re: EX100 keyboard and mouse not connecting

I have exactly the same problem; I browse the whole net and tried all the solutions but nothing. The first time I connected the receiver setpoint picked up my keyboard but did nothing when I tried to use it. I formatted my pc because I thought it might be some previous drivers that is causing it not to work, but now setpoint is not picking up my keyboard anymore. I installed the latest drivers and still nothing. Why is so many ppl having problems with this product and there is still no solution for this??

Re: EX100 keyboard and mouse not connecting

i am having the sme probelm with my ex100 keyboard & mouse.

It would stop working itself (in 2-3 months) ...miss key strokes...add many keystrokes by itself. changed battery did reset many times but no avail. finally asked for warranty cover & logitech support was nice enough to send me a new one. I only changed the key board (used the old reciver & mouse) and it worked flawlessly for about 2 months but now i have the same prolem again...missing strokes...did hard reset as mentioned above, chenged new batteries but no avail. i am really surprised thie model will work only for a few months each time !!!

if anyone has any suggestions????

I am having a similar problem. My problem is that it is just my keyboard that will not connect. The mouse works perfectly.

If it helps anyone, the keyboard's model number is Y-RHB94. It has new batteries, I have tried the connection process on the keyboard itself and the hard reset one suggested here to no avail. If there is another solution that has been worked out, it would be much appreciated. I hate this old loud PS/2 keyboard I have to use now.

Re: EX100 keyboard and mouse not connecting

Same problem here. Mouse works just fine but my keyboard seems to have turned into an alien species that has lost all ability to communicate with the receiver. Not even a lousy iiiiiii is possible to perform. CalvinD, if the Hard Reset method worked three years ago now it looks like it doesn't any more. So now what? Am I obliged to go out and buy a new keyboard from another brand other then Logitech that has products that do work and and has a support forum where questions do get answered?

The universe works in really mysteries ways.... Just after I let out my steam here a friend called. Lo and behold - she had the solution. Turns out she had the same problem and had found the answer (on some site she said). It worked for me so I hope it will work for you two as well.
This, of course, presupposes that your keyboard is actually working (apart from acting dead).
The first step is to remove the batteries.
Then, type away on your keyboard for a few seconds. (I probably overdid that with about 30 s but better safe than sound.)
With that done, insert your batteries again.
Now, press left alt, left ctrl and F12, all at once, for about a split second or two. (maybe the right ones works as well... I don't know...)
Turn your attention to the reciever and press the button there.
Return to your keyboard and press the button there.
Now for some magic.... press Esc.
Voila!
I feel really, really stupid for not thinking of this o so simple and very intuitive way to fix my keyboard before complaining.

PS. Seriously, if you are a sceptic as I to the above mentioned voodoo, I promise it worked for me. First I thought my friend was pulling my leg getting me to do silly stuff but now my keyboard works again and I don't have to spend money on a new one. (I'm sorry Logitech)

Re: EX100 keyboard and mouse not connecting

I was definitely a skeptic but I figured I would go ahead and try this because all the logical remedies I have seen and tried just didn't work. Somehow this actually does work. It's got to be some sort of hard reset. Maybe it is some sort of voodoo and we've tapped into the dark RF arts.

Thanks for the help!

Re: EX100 keyboard and mouse not connecting

Had randomly missing keystrokes on a EX100 keyboard, took it to repair center, got a new one, everything's OK now.
