i installed fresh batteries and tried several different methods of fixes i've seen on a few different forums such as hitting Ctrl+Alt+F12 after putting in and removing the batteries, but nothing works. right now I'm doing this post on my backup keyboard.
I followed the directions of pressing the button on the receiver, and then holding the button on the keyboard for 1 sec, but it doesnt connect. the strange thing is that my mouse works perfectly. I press the receiver and then the mouse connect button and it connects instantly.
i just tried it on my laptop and it doesn't work either.
Every time i have to disconnect my receiver from my computer, its always a bit of a hassle to get the things connected again, but this is the first time tht the keyboard has never connected no matter what I do.

Hello secretempire1,
Have you tried connecting the keyboard first? I have provided a link to a guide for encryption issues. The media and function keys still work if the keyboard has lost encryption. Based on your description, this may be keyboard failure. Please contact Logitech Customer Care for your region.
Best Regards,
