I don't own a logitech keyboard, but I was interested in a few and was ready to go out and buy one. Why haven't I bought one? Well, where the heck is my context-menu button, and why is there an FN key in its place? I thought it's got to be a joke right, because afterall it has to be one of the most commonly used non-alphabetical keys in Word, used to correct misspelt words or to look up for synonyms or cut/copy/paste without needing to use any of the mouse buttons.
So, here I am on a Sunday, sitting in front of my computer, and wondering in absolute amazement why people at Logitech thought it was the idea of the millennia to remove the Context-Menu key from almost all their keyboards? I don't really care about work arounds or key remapping or whatever, all I want to know is why. What was the underlying reason?
I keep waiting for new keyboards from Logitech, hoping that they will come with the context-menu key and you guys keep dumping out ones with this FN key. Aren't people complaining enough? What I think is, either you guys are delusional in thinking that people are actually happier without the context-menu key, or you guys are actually right and it is the people who are delusional in thinking that it is okay to have some standard keys missing because the keyboard they just payed lots of money to doesn't have one.
I hope designers will give half-a-thought next time before removing a standard key ....and yes I did register just to post this.

I have a new logitech keyboard and just noticed this as well and was shocked. However, when looking in setpoint/uberoptions to see if I could reassign the Fn key back to the context key (since I don't use the Fn/F key shortcuts), I realized that it is there. But you have to press Fn + Print Screen to use it. It's a little less convenient, but I'm just glad it's there (in some form) by default. And even if it wasn't, I would simply reassign one of the many other customizeable buttons on my LX710 KB to the context key.
As much as I was disturbed by noticing this while typing today, I must say the Fn key shortcuts Logitech uses now is WAY better than the new F-lock on recent Microsoft keyboards. I'm fairly old-school and constantly use the F-keys in Word and other apps, and it's really frustrating to hit a hotkey and have something random happen because Microsoft essentially replaces the F-keys by default on every reboot. Sure, there's a way to make it default to F-lock on (or off? that's my problem) each reboot, but I can't make those changes without admin rights on my work computer. So I deal with it.
Logitech gear, paired with uberoptions, is still completely FTW in my book. Even though I'm still getting used to the vertical home/end/delete/pgup/pgdn keys, it was more confusing when my work computer was vertical and my home was the old school way. Seems like we'll all just have to get used to it. I'm not complaining about a second windows key on the right side either--it was overkill back then.

I have a quite expensive MX5500 and it is definitely the last as long as there is no windows context menu.
Though not that 'old schooled', at least I know that on (most) keyboards there is always the SHIFT+F10 who will do the trick. So I don't understand why Logitech added a more difficult way, FN+PrintScreen.
Also the vertical home/end etc buttons: OK, I can live with it, but can anybody explain me why in the world did they change that?
Very disappointed.

I bought Logitech Wireless Desktop MK710 today, because I thought it's only wireless standard keyboard made by Logitech (well... it has insert key at least...). After 15 sec. of using me new keyboard I figured out, that there is a Fn key, instead of a context menu key. I was shocked.
However I found key, with a context menu sign on it (yes, I mean Print Screen). "It's NOT ok, but good enought to use before I buy new one" I thought. Well.... it's NOT context menu key - it works rather like right mouse key. Someone really think, I like to point element with mouse, and THEN press Fn + PrnScr???
WHY DID YOU DO THIS TO ME??????
Fn key is not sendind scancode, so I cannot change this behaviour. Keyboard is useless and is going to trash. No more Logitech.

The workaround FN+Print Screen is flawed, as it opens up the context menu on your mouse location! It it supposed to open the context menu on the item you actually selected on the screen.

I'd instantly fire the guy how removed one of the most important keys on a keyboard. NEVER EVERY AGAIN LOGITECH!

I demand more copy pasta from the above poster.
Logitech has been doing funky things with their keyboards that I really don't understand. I hope they do an in-house overall in the coming months.

Hi,
I puzzled over the Context Menu key after getting a Logitech K350 Wireless Wave Keyboard. I finally found the Shift + F10 short cut and now I do this to have a dedicated Context Menu Key without using an extra program.
1. Open SetPoint Keyboard Hot Key Settings
2. Choose a Hot Key: I use the Application Switcher Hot Key
3. Assign Shift + F10 to the Keystroke Assignment

My boss bought two, $100 MX710 keyboard/mouse combos, one for me and a coworker. We are both Analysts and rely on shortcut keys and the important Context Menu button. The keyboard felt really comfortable to type on in the store and I thought they'd be perfect. There was one oversight though. Before we took the keyboards out of the box we noticed there is no Context-Menu button but rather a propriatary Function key. The keyboards went right back to the store. Logitech has lost a little bit of revenue today. I refuse to purchase a keyboard where standard Windows keys have been removed. I know there are some Logitech wireless keyboard with the context menu key but those keyboards all have the Insert, Delete, etc keys arranged in a 2x3 key configuration with an oversized Delete key instead of the standard 3x2 key configuration. That just won't work since I've been using the standard key configuration since my first computer and that's how my muscle memory has been established. I understand the need for the Function key but I cannot understand the location and sacrifice of standard Windows keys.

Couldn't Agree More!
Logitech, can you hear us? I like your products but this design over-sight for how professionals use keyboards is crazy! The context-menu is critical and I would have just droped $179 on one of your keyboards until I realized just how stupid and flawed it is.
I checked your other keyboards and they almost all have it! I love your Performance MX mouse and wanted to get a matching keyboard with your unifying technology, but no need now. You've ruined your product and I, like many others, will refuse to buy your product until this is done.
I created an account here just to show how disturbed I am by this horrible decision. Whoever thought this was a good idea is an idiot who doesn't use a computer very effeciently and the execs who put that idea in place for nearly all of your keyboards so people like me don't have an option SHOULD BE FIRED.

What's amazing is that as best I can tell, it's across their entire line.
The two key combo to bring up the Context-Menu is absurd and defeats the purpose of it. I have well honed and practice key sequences I use in excel and word to do some of the repetitive tasks I often do. This seriously screws things up.
I wish there was an option that Fn acts like the context menu key UNLESS you hold it and use it as a modifier (fn+another).
Very dissapointing.
