I'm taking it back.

Using a Wave Pro on Vista 64 here, And I have not had the issues you seem to have.
I did have to do this though.
Use Setpoint 4.6 and install it via logitechs safe boot, then download the 1mb update for 4.6 via the software - then all is fine.
Flip and zoom and all other functions work.

That's great, I bought Microsoft since the Logitech SetPoint software isn't capable of working the way it should, thus the existence of this forum. I greatly appreciate the 1-2 attempted solutions I have gotten but honestly all of this wasn't worth the effort.
I plugged in my brand new Microsoft Wireless Entertainment Desktop 7000 and every single button worked the split second the software was done (which DID NOT freeze the computer and WAS NOT randomly missing parts of the software upon full installation) and it looks cooler too.

I was having the same trouble.... I opened up Windows in Safe Mode and installed it.... Installation went perfectly, keyboard and mouse both work perfectly. I'd suggest trying that option
