Reference post
My Logitech MX 5000 has NEVER worked properly in 4+ years. I've had it through Windows XP, Vista, and now Windows 7 the same problem has always occurred. Consistent disconnections of the keyboard for 10-15 second periods with random results over the years. Everything from havening to renter the passkey *to the key* I am pressing being stuck for 10 seconds then 5 seconds of reconnection.
So to remain consistent to what gets a response to a hugely discussed issue...

Another Administrator quote about the superb quality of the MX5000.
--------------------------------------------------
Although there are problems with the MX5000 keyboard set, it, and the dinovo Bluetooth sets, are the ones that are going to have the range you are seeking. My suggestion is the dinovo set, because they don't have as many problems as the MX5000 set. Bluetooth technology is still in its infancy, so there are bound to be issues.
--------------------------------------------------
These "infancy" issues that "there are bound to be" are still present in the product I purchased and of no rearguard to me as a retail customer who when picking a product up off of the shelf expects said product to function as advertised. After what I conceder to be more that a sufficient time to address the issue if it were a software problem I have resulted to this. Seeing as how I have dealt with these issues through the years of updates and promises that it isn't the equipment is my environment I would appreciate some type of recognition to the fact that your hardware was/is/continues to be bad by replacing it with a product that that is not "in its infancy" and "bound to be issues" with.
