Keyboards and Keyboard/Mice Combo Sets

I bought a Internet 1500 Laser Cordless Desktop combo two years ago, at first the keyboard and mouse worked properly until the range at which the mouse managed to connect to the hub started decreasing with time until it didn't even connect to the hub (the indicator led for the mouse doesn't turn on when I try to connect it) I tried changing from the rechargeable battery to AA batteries but that didn't help, the mouse laser is working and the keyboard works properly

Hello, I know the post is old but actually I have the same problem and the mouse only work when the batteries are almost empty. Did you find the solution?
