I'm having exactly same issue.
I've tried to update, reinstall and completely removing all possible logitech soft(registries) off my pc but it doesn't help.
I've obviosly have also tried all possible settings variations in SetPoint control center version 6.30.41, driver 5.30.67 just to see wether I can get scroll to click.
So, i wen to my lil'bros. He has same mx5500 set. The mouse works perfectly on his PC![]()
I have windows7(64) and he has vista(64).
Can I possibly get some help?
There is also another issue. Since I'm sort of a fan of logitech. I've also got Z-5500 THX 5.1 Digital Surround Sound Speaker System. But the sound touch controll center is broken. At one point it gave an error message on the display when turned on. Now the red light of power button goes on for couple of seconds and thats it. Is there a some sort of common issue on those?

I bought one two days ago, and while the install failed (with khal failed message), I managed to install the downloaded version of the setpoint s/w (Set point versions: control centre 6.30.41, driver 5.30.67, Windows XP 32 bits SP3).
Deselecting 'My Mouse->Enable application-specifc wheel settings' and selecting 'Always click-to-click' on the same tab works for me.
However, the scroill is very slow in some applications ( the slider on the same tab is at the rightmost point: Fast'). In Excel and in Windows-Explorer it takes 7 to 8 clicks to scroll one row. In Word, it is acceptable for slow scrolling but there is no fast scroll.
Whay is that? How can I make it scroll faster in click-to-click mode?
thanks

Hello tinazmu,
You could try increasing the number of lines to scroll per click. Please see Adjusting your mouse movements section of the link below.
