K-800 splashe4 with a bit of water...Can it be save4?

As evi4ence4 by the typos in this sentence my keyboar4 is a bit frie4.

A cup of water sloshe4 an4 some of it en4e4 up on the keyboar4.

I have a k-800 wireless so this is obviously not a goo4 scenario as i love this keyboar4.

So is it basically stuck this way or is there some way to fix it an4 how if so?

commas also 4on't work

right parenthesis is out.

right arrow

numpa4 8 key

an4 one or two more. otherwise the rest of the keyboar4 is operational.

Re: K-800 splashe4 with a bit of water...Can it be save4?

Did this just happen?

If it really was just water, maybe a gentle application of a hairdryer would dry off any remaining water.

If it was orange juice, or something equally nasty, then my guess is that the keyboard is a gonner.

The only bit of the innards I have seen is beneath the Enter key, when mine broke off, but from what I could see but these keyboards are so complicated internally that any attempt at personal repairs is probably doomed to failure.

Re: K-800 splashe4 with a bit of water...Can it be save4?

Hello  MauryMoose,

The K800 keyboard does come with a three year warranty.  Although water damage is not covered by warranty I would still suggest you contact Customer Care for further assistance and to see what options may be available to you.

I hope this helps you out.
