Is there an update planned for this? It's pretty good hardware, but the software implementation is astoundingly wasteful of it. The touchpad is multitouch, but the only gesture is two-finger scroll? How about two-finger tap for right click or whatever else?
And there are 3 (three!) ways to left-click, but no middle click at all? I only use tap for left-click, and you can tap and drag. Even if people preferred to use one dedicated left-click button to drag with a physical button instead, there is still one button completely unnecessary.

I have to agree with everything said by andyo.
I was stunned that there was no 2 finger click.

I agree %110. The features are almost embarrasingly badly lacking. A middle click button would've been expected, but to omit letting both left and right click together emulate a middle click was plain lazy. Also, when I first wanted to right click something I assumed, I could drag the pointer to the object and tap with another finger... I mean that would've been the mind-numbingly intuitive way to implement it. Decent piece of hardware, but yikes shame on the software staff.

I just received this keyboard, and also find the multitouch implementation extremely lacking. I mean, the only option for the entire tab for configuration of the touchpad is a checkbox to enable tap-to-click. Come on Logitech, how about (like my laptop multitouch synaptic device) two-finger middle-click, three-finger right-click?

I felt the same way until I used Autohotkey. If you use the K400 like I do, hold it like a videogame controller most of the time, search google for "k400" and "autohotkey", you'll find the scripts I use for it. I'd recommend trying the click-to-scroll script for one finger scrolling. As far as middle-click goes, I don't use that but I'm sure you could find a script for it. Granted, we shouldn't have to be using ahk scripts to get the a simple desired function out of this keyboard but you have to make due with what you can.

Just created an account for this. It is unbelievable!!! No option for the middle click? Are you kidding me? You actively advertize it as multitouch. What is the problem with this? It should not take more then a couple of weeks to resolve. Is there an IP problem? How about third party software to fix it? PLEASE PLEASE issue an update soon.

Just thought I'd breathe life back into this thread. Given how the hardware left-click button only works about 75% of the time that you click it, I've found that, short of using a separate mouse, tap-to-click is the easiest to use method of navigation. Only problem: no tap-to-right-click. ![]()

I am thinking of returning my K400 yet I only bought it today! I don't think I can continue to use it with no middle click, no Linux style copy/paste and a drag/select which omits the first character (try it!). I knew I would have to do without a number pad and dedicated Home/End buttons but this is ridiculous. How new is this device and can we expect a quick upgrade? 20 years ago I had a touch pad by Synaptic which could do all the above and more. Does anyone know if the drivers for that are still available and able to bring this thing up to date?

Dear Logitech Engineers...
Your K400 keyboard is almost-awesome, so, why don't you just make it AWESOME? I do really need a middle-click button, and multi-gestures for the touchpad... Its just a piece of coding for you... Thanks for your precious help...
