I have a K800 wireless illuminated keyboard. It works fine, but when I (re)start the computer I can press the <del> key during the boot screen display but nothing happens. With a wired keyboard, I would get into the BIOS setup menu.
Is it not possible to have the keyboard detected during boot?
I use Windows 7 /32, use the setpoint software.

The K800 can interact with your PC on boot. Mine does.
But you must have the receiver in a USB port that is on the motherboard. Hubs and add in cards do not work until Windows has started and loaded drivers.
You may also need to change something in the BIOS so that it will see a USB keyboard on boot.
If your motherboard is very old, this may not be possible. But a board that can run Windows 7 should be OK.
