Overall, here is my issue. I've updated the drivers and everything when I initially installed my keyboard/mouse combo that I bought this past weekend. After I restart my computer, the keyboard doesn't work anymore however the top bar (volume, email, home, search, mute, etc) all work.. yet none of the keyboard keys work. The mouse works too, it's just this portion of the keyboard. When I go into the Logitech window for the configuration, it only sees my mouse.
What in the world do I have to do to get this to work? I'd rather not return it since I really like this keyboard...

Hi
,
Looks like it could be a problem with the Secure Mode encryption. Please try the following steps to disable it:
a) Press Ctrl + Alt + F12 (use the Ctrl and Alt keys on the left side).
b) Press the connect button on the receiver.
c) Pess the connect button on the keyboard.
d) Press the Escape key.

That didn't help.
Everytime this happens so far, I've had to uninstall the drivers, let Windows restart then let it reinstall the drivers itself. I'd really like to get this thing to stay working instead of having to do this every time.

I know what you are feeling. I just got my MK300 and from day one everytime I boot up my computer the software disappears and none of my program keys work and I can't go into settings because the one for keyboard just disappears.
In my case I have to go to add/remove and take out setpoint and then reload it to get it to work. I have had to do this every single time my computer has rebooted. I have already called Logitech and was told that I would get an email telling me what to do. The problem no email ever showed up. I am totally frustrated.
This is my second wireless keyboard combo from Logictech. The other one had no problems for years. It was one of the first ever made and it is the reason why I bought this one when that one finally kicked the bucket.
I don't want to have to send this back I would rather someone here tell me what to do. Obviously the tech service guy on the phone was an idiot otherwise I wouldn't be here trying to get help.
Well can someone help me or not.

I just bought this product and experienced the same problem.
Here is what you should do:
1. Control Panel - Keyboard
2. Hardware
3. you should now see an unknown keyboard. select it.
Now you should update its driver. Let windows do the job for you. Windows should find 4 drivers. DON'T select the logitech driver!
Instead select "HID Keyboard Device"
After installing the driver your keyboard should work immediately. It worked for me.
Good luck
