Keyboards and Keyboard/Mice Combo Sets

I have the LX710 Keyboard + Mice combo. About 5 days ago my mice was working fine.. after an update that I downloaded. Now my mice will not work at all.. I tried reinstalling windows (was going to anyways, new hdd) to see what happends.. and now setpoint didnt even detect it.. I changed the batteries and nothing.. also.. I tried taking the receiver out and putting it back in.. I tried mostly everything and nothing works.. as for my keyboard its working fine.. just incase... This is my first Logitech wireless item, so please tell me that I don't have to spend more $$... I have this item for only a few month.

P.S: Currently I replaced the wireless mouse with a general wired one.

Have you tried re-connecting the mouse and receiver? Press the Connect button on the receiver, then the one on the mouse.

Yes I have tried that as well, but its sorta weird cause.. when I press the connect button, the lazer light blinks.. now if I hold the connect button the lazer light stops flashing.. and when I try to hold the power button of it nothing happen.. and it does not turn off.
