Keyboards and Keyboard/Mice Combo Sets

I would like to know if it is possible to use one receiver for both the LX710 Laser cordless keyboard and the LX8 cordless mouse. I know the LX710 comes with its own mouse, but I had the LX8 mouse first (love it!) and don't really care for the LX710 mouse. As it is, I have two receivers on my desktop, which is clumsy and disorganized. If the above noted keyboard and mound cannot share a receiver, what would be the best kind of USB hub to use so I can at least have just the one cable? Thanks!
