Logitech 920-003390 Tablet Keyboard for Android 3.0+ Some Keys Non Responsive

I've got the Logitech 920-003390 Tablet Keyboard for Android 3.0+ paired with a Nexus 7 (First Generation). Been working just fine for the past 8 months up until last week when some of the keys became unresponsive. The keys are generally the same it's the "1, R, 4, and Backspace" that tend to randomly stop responding when I type on them.

The hardest part is figuring out when or how they become responsive. So I can be typing away and everything is fine, and then those buttons stop working. I've tried repairing, turning the keyboard off and back on and it still doesn't work. Sometimes if I just press and hold the button down really hard for 3-5 seconds it'll respond and start working for a few minutes again.

What can I do here? Anything? Or do I just have a faulty keyboard? Thanks!

Did Android update itself on your Nexus 7 last week? Mine did.

Maybe it changed some of the keyboard settings in Android itself.

Oh that's a good point. Mine updated before last week. Now I'm trying to remember when and if those two are related. Sounds  likely though.

If that's the case though, and I'm upgraded to Android 4.3, is there anything I can do with the settings to make the keyboard keys work better?

I found that I had to poke into the entrails of Android to get it to use the Logitech keyboard. But mine is just a unifying device, not something built for Android.

I also had to get an app to handle my language. UK English, an apparently alien concept to the people behind the Nexus 7.
